Local Rules


We follow USGA Rules with the following Local Rule Exceptions:

Members please refer to our "2023 Rules Committee Report" for a more detailed discussion.

The red font is used to indicate the specific deviation from USGA Rules that has been adopted by our golf club.

In Brief form these are our Local Rules: 

Hole #1 – if your ball is on the road that goes across this fairway, move your ball back along the line to the pin and drop. No Penalty.

Hole #2 – the wet marshy area on left side of fairway is a red penalty area whether or not it is marked as such.  One stroke penalty

Hole #6, #14 – if ball is on a different level than the flag, you may move the ball laterally to the nearest point of relief, off the green - no closer to hole.   No Penalty.  

Hole #18 - is a Yellow penalty area.  After one (1) ball in the water, you may proceed to the Drop Zone.  One Stroke Penalty.

Lost Ball (USGA Local Rule E-5:  When a player’s ball has not been found or is known or virtually certain to be out of bounds, and they have not played a provisional ball, the player may proceed on a perpendicular line to the fairway and drop.  Two Stroke Penalty Applies.

9 Hole members ONLY Putts "within the leather" are automatically conceded.  "Within the leather" is defined by the 9 hole chair.  If a golfer accepts the conceded putt, the putts are still counted as strokes for scoring purposes.
