Handicap System

You do not need to maintain a handicap to play golf with our club.  

However, if you wish to be eligible for a NET event, game or annual prize, you will need to maintain your  handicap using Golf Handicap and Information Network (GHIN), pronounced “jin.”   GHIN is a handicapping computational service provided by the USGA through authorized associations and clubs.  A golfer must belong to a golf club to obtain a USGA Handicap Index after which they will get a GHIN Number.

• It’s only $30 with "University Women's Golf Club" as your home club.
  Note: if you select "University of Michigan GC" you will be charged the normal rate $45.

• GHIN Handicaps are updated Daily.

• Handicap Chairs pull GHIN HCs on Mondays for our Weekly Games/Prizes.

• Pro Tip:  Download the mobile ap and enter you scores into GHIN the same day you play.
